Mini Rugby Section

Monkstown FC  has an ever expanding and vibrant Mini section. Over 300 children participate every Sunday morning at Sydney Parade. The club offers the space to learn the dynamics of team play and youngsters can grow and learn the values of team play, integrity, friendship and respect for the referee.

Our dedicated coaches have all played rugby, some to the highest levels, and have a keen appreciation on developing a love of rugby.

We cater for children from 4 to 12 years of age.

While fun remains at the heart of our Sunday mornings, regular blitzes are arranged throughout the season. Playing matches is an important developmental element of Mini-Rugby. And, while play is on going parents can join friends and neighbours for coffee and cakes in the clubhouse

Mini rugby instils a life long love of the game and some our past minis have gone to represent Ireland at senior and under 19 levels. Other minis have joined the professional ranks at provincial and premiership levels and some have been capped for Leinster schoolboys and played in University colours matches.

An end of season overseas trip has become a highlight, over the years. We comply with all IRFU governance and child protection protocols (read more below).
