Monkstown Rugby as Part of the Community

Sports clubs play a vital role in communities. They serve as more than just venues for sports enthusiasts to gather and engage in their favourite activities; they also act as focal points for social interactions, sources of community pride, and catalysts for local development.

Our club is deeply embedded in the local and wider community.  

Monkstown is a founding member of the Sandymount and Merrion Sustainable Energy Community . We are strongly committed to a sustainable future and continue to reduce our carbon footprint, and improve our recycling processes.

We understand our role as good neighbours and maintain our grounds and amenities to the highest standards

Our club house is available to other local community groups including parent/toddler groups and bridge clubs

There is a long tradition of members supporting  fundraising events for various charities , Over the years significant donations have been made to amongst others  The Irish Cancer society and UNICEF.
