Saturday, March 14, is all set to be another bumper day at the club.

For the first time, Monkstown Old Boys will take on the “Crowbars” from local rivals Wanderers in a Vets match that will see the former Sydney Parade heroes dust off the old boots, spend days trying to find the old gum-shields and count the clicks in their dodgy ankles as they attempt to emulate former glories.

The match kicks off at the club at 12pm and we want to see lots of families and friends at Sydney Parade! There will be all the usual amusements for kids and the bar will be open for those who need a break from watching the intensity, the skills and the pure aggression of the Vets 😉

Later in the day, the club will show whatever surviving 6 Nations matches make it to air and a DJ will play out the night until the wee hours!

Many thanks to club legend Fosi Pala’amo and his crew who have organised the event and put the whole day together. With the season coming to a close, it would be great to get as many members and friends down to celebrate our current and former players and have a few drinks to celebrate a winning season in Monkstown!
