It is a great honour and privilege to be elected as the President of this great rugby club for the season 2012-2013.  Monkstown FC has made, and continues to make a proud and valuable contribution to rugby union in this country.

I extend a hearty welcome to all the teams, coaches and opposition supporters who will visit us in Sydney Parade.  We pride ourselves on a rich tradition of hospitality and I expect this season will be no exception.  In the “home dressing room” I wish our club captain David Kilbride, players, coaches and team managers well during the season, and hope that you all enjoy the experience and pride of wearing the blue and gold of Monkstown.

I would like to thank all our sponsors who have remained loyal to us especially in the last few years.  I also want to thank the many members of our club who give freely of their time and support our fund raising efforts year after year and do so much background work ‘to keep the show on the road’.

Finally I would like to thank all the supporters and friends of Monkstown FC for your loyal and passionate support – your attendance at our matches and participation in club activities will once again be vital to our success both on and off the pitch in the season to come.
